404 not found error occur after changing permalink in wordpress [Resolved]

Question From our fan.

Hello sushrut, I am new to wordpress. When I changed permalinks of my blog from default to post name, 404 error occurs. Every post from my blog flags “NOT Found error”. If I revert back the permalink setting, blog works fine. For SEO reasons I want permalink as a post name. Please help.

Check .htaccess file. .htaccess file should have following  code

# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

# END WordPress

I can access this file using seopack by yoast plugin.

I hope this will help.
