Google analytics dashboard

Google analytics dashboard is a collection of reports in the form of widgets. Showing many reports at once, is the aim of the dashboard. Its completely on you to decide which report you want to see.Also, you can create your own dashboard.

How to find Google analytics dashboard?

  1. Log into Google Analytics.
  2. Click on reporting tab.
  3. Select dashboard.

Default dashboard.

When you created your account, you will get default dashboard named as “My dashboard“.
The default dashboard contains some widgets which are already added with some reports with selected metrics.

The default dashboard contains reports on following metrics.

  • New user.
  • Users.
  • Sessions by country.
  • Sessions by browser.
  • Bounce rate.
  • Average session Duration and pages per session.
  • Revenue.
  • Goals completion.

Note: You can add, edit or delete widgets.

Creating new dashboard.

You can also create new dashboard in Google Analytics.
To create your new dashboard.

  1. Click on reporting tab.
  2. Select Dashboard and click +New dashboard.
  3. Select either black canvas or starter Dashboard.

Add widgets in the dashbard.

  1. When you click on the +add widget button.
  2. A dialog box will open. Give the widget title. Select widget type. Add metric.
  3. You can limit the data to be shown by clicking add a filter.
  4. You can give a link to large report.
  5. Click save.
